Society of American
Archivists
Kent State University
Student Chapter
Founded in 1936, the Society of American Archivists is North America's oldest and largest national archival professional association. SAA's mission is to serve the educational and informational needs of more than 5,000 individual and institutional members and to provide leadership to ensure the identification, preservation, and use of records of historical value.
The Kent State Chapter
of the Society of American Archivists exists to support students in the School
of Library and Information Science and other departments who are interested in
working in special collections and archives. The group meets monthly to plan
tours and other events designed to connect students with professionals in their
chosen field of study.
Our next meeting is February 24 from 5-6pm in the
SLIS Digital Lab, 3rd floor, KSU Main Library, Kent, Ohio
